Scary Muslim Alert

You gotta love the smell of wingnut in the morning.  Johnny Piper is the mayor of Clarksville, TN, population greater than 100K.  He thought it would be a good idea to forward an email urging “patriotic Americans” to protest this stamp that was being developed at the request of President Obama.

Oops, Mayor Piper didn’t do his homework.  The stamp was first issued in 2001, when the most patriotic President EVAH was in office – George W. Bush.

Just to set the record even straighter, Eid is the holiday that celebrates the end of Ramadan.  Unfortunately we don’t really practice what we preach in this country.  Freedom of religion only exists if you are a certain type of Christian.  Thanks, but I’ll pass.

Obama is … not Captain Kangaroo

I LOL this morning when I read that.  Here’s the full quote:

“This was an arrogant abuse of power, an abuse of the executive office. Barack Obama should remember he is commander in chief, not Captain Kangaroo.”

What rocket scientist said this and what was he referring to?  None other than Republican Bob Schaffer who lost to Mark Udall in a bid to represent Colorado in the Senate.  And this was his response after Obama gave his not-really-controversial-but-media-labeled-controversial talk to school children yesterday.

What a maroon.

Huh?
